Soundtuning for the MT01 - RP12 / RP18 with Akrapovic Exhaust
With these DB-killer the sound is improved significantly - nice fuller deep sound, a bit louder. Better performance is possible after proper coordination wit a Power Commander!
The original Akrapovic RP12 DB-killer have only 91DB (at rated speed 3563 rpm / steady 72DB), although 94DB are approved!
The max. noise level range of this larger DB-Killer is 94DB so it is still within the permissible tolerance (without guarantee) - stationary noise approx. 78DB (without guarantee).
! Not suitable for the Yamaha MT-01 series silencer !
Difference to the Akrapovic standard DB-killer:
- Material: Aluminum - lighter than the standard DB-killer
- Made of one pices not welded – therefore very stable
- The spread at the back is larger
- Inner diameter 38mm - (DB-killer original: 33,2mm)
- Lenght 120mm - (DB-killer original: 140mm)
- Noise level range 94DB / 78DB - (DB-killer original: 91DB / 72DB)
- Made in Germany
